The Tridhaatu Kada is a timeless tri-metal bangle inspired by traditional Karnataka designs. Handcrafted using copper, brass, and a touch of silver, this cuff embodies the symbolic strength of the three metals—each believed to bring balance and healing in ancient Indian traditions. Perfect for daily wear or as a statement piece for festive occasions. Wear tradition on your wrist. Carry history with style.
In the lanes of Giddenahalli, just outside Bengaluru lives Radhabhai, a grandmother to 15 and a lifelong bangle maker.
For years, her family has crafted metal bangles sold in temples across South India. But despite generations of skill, the earnings were barely enough to keep everyone fed. Often, Radhabhai had to supplement her income with waste picking during lean seasons. Orders were turned away simply because there wasn’t enough money to purchase raw materials.
With a seed fund of ₹10,000, provided through the Saamuhika Shakti initiative, supported by Udhyam Vyapaar, Radhabhai could finally invest in bulk materials and take on larger orders.
Today, the profit from each bangle has nearly tripled — from ₹5 to ₹14 — thanks to support in negotiating fair prices and building better market linkages. With a little extra earning, Radhabhai is now creating her own line of rings and earrings to sell at fairs and through local wholesalers.
Radhabhai continues to lead her family not just in craft, but in courage.
